What is the shelf life of Del Monte® canned products?
“BEST BEFORE” and “DATE OF MANUFACTURE” is given on the label of all Del Monte products
As a guideline, Del Monte® canned products have a shelf-life of about 2 to 3 years from the date of manufacture. This assumes that the can is not dented or damaged, and the product is stored under normal conditions. After that time, the colour, flavour and texture of the food may begin to deteriorate, although the contents would still be safe for consumption. We recommend that any swollen or leaking containers be discarded, regardless of age.

What is the shelf life of a Del Monte product after it is opened?
After opening, canned foods should retain their original quality for at least 2 to 3 days if refrigerated and sealed in plastic or glass containers. Del Monte® Ketchup and Tomato Chilli Sauce, will retain their quality for 1 month, when stored under normal conditions.
